LIVING A JESUS CENTERED LIFE
Jesus left the accolades of Heaven and became a human being.
And yet, He didn’t come down as some majestic ruler to share
wisdom from on high with us ordinary human beings. Instead,
He came as a baby boy to a poor family and lived a simple, humble
and largely unrecognized life for thirty years. And even when
He started His Ministry, He was consistently affiliating Himself
with the poor, the unwanted, and ostracized population. Then
after living a completely sinless life, He died upon the cross
to restore us to our relationship with Father God. Jesus could
had anything He wanted, but he chose death because of His
love for us. He chose the path of humility and obedience to
the Father.
We have the same choice before us every day, to step toward
sin or living a pure and godly life. We must trust that the God
who raised Jesus from the grave to declare victory over death
will work in our lives to fulfill his purposes as well.
Some days it is hard to live a Jesus centered life. There are
many distractions and temptations that can pull us away
from a Jesus-centered life if we are not careful. But a focused
and disciplined commitment to prayer, combined with study of
God’s Word will keep us on the right track.
